Device Controls

The mobile app lets you monitor and control smart devices assigned to your properties — including locks, thermostats, and sensors. Access devices from property detail screens, search results, or notification links.

Tap a device to open its detail screen. The header shows:

  • Device name
  • Online/offline status — a green or red dot indicator
  • Device type — lock, thermostat, sensor, or other
  • Battery level — a progress bar with the percentage. Green when above 20%, red when low
  • Pending action indicator — a yellow warning if a command is being processed

For smart lock devices, the detail screen includes:

Two buttons let you remotely lock or unlock the device. The current state is reflected in the button labels.

A list of all codes currently assigned to the lock:

  • Code — displayed in monospace font (masked for security)
  • Slot name — the label for the code (e.g., guest name, “Staff Code”)
  • Status badge — color-coded across the full code lifecycle: green for installed and active, amber for awaiting code, awaiting provider, and pending deletion, red for failed and failed deletion, and muted gray for expired, revoked, and no locks
  • Time range — when the code is valid (start and end times)

For thermostat devices, the detail screen includes:

  • Current temperature — displayed prominently in large text
  • Mode badge — indicates the current mode (e.g., heating, cooling, auto)
  • Target temperature — with + and - buttons to adjust. The range is constrained between 50°F and 95°F

Temperature changes are synced to the device when you have connectivity.

For sensor devices (e.g., noise monitors, environmental sensors), the detail screen shows real-time readings:

  • Noise level — in decibels (dB)
  • Temperature — in Celsius or Fahrenheit
  • Humidity — as a percentage

The device history screen shows the last 50 lock code records:

  • Guest name or label (staff code, manual code)
  • Confirmation code and source
  • Status badge and “Used” indicator
  • Date/time ranges for code validity

A read-only view of the device’s configuration:

  • Device info — name, type, provider ID, and online status
  • Assigned properties — which properties the device is linked to (tap to navigate)
  • Device flags — read-only indicators for remote controls, muted state, public visibility, and staff code status
  • Battery level — with a visual progress bar

For a cross-property view of every device in your organization, open the Devices index from the icon button in the Properties tab header (or from a device alert on the home screen). Each row reads “device · property” so you know where a device lives without opening it.

The list is ordered to float the devices that need attention to the top — offline first, then low battery, then alphabetically. Three filter chips with live counts let you narrow it:

  • All — every active device
  • Offline — devices currently offline
  • Low battery — devices at or below 25%

A search field matches on device name or property name. Tap any row to open the device’s detail screen.

You can reach device details from several places:

  • All Devices index — open it from the Devices icon in the Properties tab header (see above)
  • Property details — tap Devices to see all devices for a property, then tap a device
  • Search — search for a device name
  • Notifications — tap a device-related notification
