Home Dashboard
Your Home is the first screen you see when you log in to SuiteOp. It’s a personalized grid of widgets — each one a window into a part of the platform (Reservations, Tasks, Properties, Inbox, and more) that you can resize, rearrange, add, and remove to fit how you work.
Every widget does double duty: it shows you the numbers that matter at a glance, and it’s also a shortcut into that area of the platform.
The Needs attention band
Section titled “The Needs attention band”Pinned across the top of the Home is the Needs attention band. It rolls up the time-sensitive items across your organization, always in the same order:
- Failed codes — reservations whose access code failed.
- To review — arrivals on the selected Home date whose verification needs your review.
- Charges — Folio charges that need your action next.
- Approvals — time and cost entries waiting on Costs & Approvals.
- Low battery — devices with low batteries.
- Messages — unread guest messages.
The band only shows items you have permission to see, so each person’s band reflects their own responsibilities. Every item follows the Home property filter except Messages, which always counts all the conversations you can access.
The setup banner
Section titled “The setup banner”Until your account is live and fully optimized, a setup banner sits below the Needs attention band. Its title reflects where you are — Finish setting up while steps remain, then a ready-to-go-live or all-set message. It shows how many steps you have left, what you’re still Waiting on, and an Open setup button — or Go live, once nothing required is left. It isn’t one of the customizable widgets below.
The banner disappears once you’re live and every recommended item is done, and comes back if something slips (for example, a newly imported property that isn’t set up yet). See Initial Setup & Onboarding for what the Setup page covers.
Widgets
Section titled “Widgets”Below the Needs attention band sits your widget grid. Each widget comes in two sizes:
- Small — a compact launcher showing one headline number and a status line. The whole tile is a link into that feature.
- Large — a richer working card with several stats, a short list of items you can act on, and quick links — sometimes with tabs to switch views (for example, Check-ins / Check-outs on Reservations, or My / Team on Tasks).
Available widgets include Reservations, Verification status, Tasks, Properties, Inbox, Folio, Devices, Agents, Analytics, Approvals, Shifts, and Environmental alerts. You’ll only ever see widgets for the areas your role and permissions give you access to.
A few widgets are worth calling out:
- Verification status shows how many upcoming reservations are Verified, Needs review, or still In progress for the selected date. Each number links to the reservations list filtered to exactly that group, and the large tile lists the reservations that need review.
- Properties counts only enabled properties in its readiness totals and status buckets. Disabled properties stay out of the operational rollup, and the widget refreshes when you enable or disable a property.
- Folio reports revenue per currency — a dominant-currency headline plus a “+N more currencies” note — so mixed-currency portfolios never see unrelated amounts summed into one misleading total. It respects the property filter like every other tile. On the large tile, the Completed amount reports the money you actually hold: a charge contributes what was captured less what was refunded, so a released authorization hold and a fully refunded charge add nothing, while a denied charge whose capture was never given back still counts — the money is yours until you return it. The charge is still counted as completed either way, so the amount can fall without the count moving. The Folio page’s Completed card measures something else again — paid money over the last 30 days — so the two amounts are not meant to agree.
- Devices (large) breaks down your fleet by device type, with an offline count per type, alongside the overall readiness number.
- Shifts labels its numbers plainly — for example “6 overdue tasks” for tasks past due today and “0/4 tasks” for completed-versus-scheduled work on the shift — each with a tooltip that explains what it counts.
Stats are clickable
Section titled “Stats are clickable”On a large widget, every stat is a shortcut: click it and SuiteOp opens that area already filtered to exactly what the number counted, so the list you land on matches the badge.
The Reservations widget is a good example. Its stats each open the Reservations page filtered to the right day and dimension:
- Booked — reservations made that day (booking pace), counted by when the booking was created in your PMS. This is the same as the Reservations page’s Booked date filter, and it’s distinct from Occupied.
- Occupied — reservations whose stay covers that day (guests in-house), regardless of status.
- Check-ins and Check-outs — confirmed arrivals and departures for the day.
Acting from a widget
Section titled “Acting from a widget”Beyond their stats, large widgets let you act on the items they list — and start the most common task for that area — without leaving Home.
- Rows open the item. Click a row in a list and SuiteOp opens that specific item. A Tasks row opens the task, an Inbox thread opens that conversation, a Reservations row opens the reservation, and an Approvals row takes you to the Approvals page for the confirmed approve flow.
- Quick links land on the right view. The Tasks widget’s All my tasks link opens your personal task list (not everyone’s), and each Agents row’s View log link opens that run’s log.
- Action buttons start the next step. The Tasks widget’s New button opens the create-task form, then opens the new task once you save it. The Shifts widget’s Clock in button opens the clock-in dialog — it only appears if you’re paid hourly.
Analytics widgets
Section titled “Analytics widgets”The Analytics widget turns your Home into a lightweight metrics board. Unlike other widgets, you can add it more than once — each instance tracks a metric you choose, so you can line up the handful of numbers you watch most.
When you add an Analytics tile, a short picker walks you through it:
-
Pick a category. Analytics metrics are grouped into six categories — Reservations, Reviews, Guest Store, Tasks, Staff, and FinOps. You’ll only see the categories your permissions allow.
-
Pick a metric and range. Choose the specific metric and a time range (7d or 30d). The range is shown right on the tile face.
-
Name it (optional). Give the tile a custom title, or leave it to use the metric’s default name.
-
Add. Click Add to place the tile.
Each tile shows its value in the metric’s natural format (percentage, currency, ★ rating, or hours) with a delta versus the previous period — and the delta’s color reflects what’s actually good for that metric (a falling cancellation rate shows green, not red). To retarget a tile later, enter Customize mode and click Change metric on the tile face.
Filtering your Home
Section titled “Filtering your Home”A filter bar sits above your widget grid and rescopes every tile at once, so all your numbers describe the same slice of your portfolio.
- Date. The date chip always shows the selected date — today by default — so you can see the day your Home reflects without opening the picker.
- Properties and property groups. Narrow Home to specific properties, or pick a property group to scope to all of its members in one click.
Your property and group selection is saved per organization in this browser and restored when you reload or come back later. It doesn’t follow you to another computer or browser.
Customizing your layout
Section titled “Customizing your layout”Your Home layout is saved per user — changes you make affect only your own screen, and they follow you across devices.
-
Enter Customize mode
Click Customize in the top-right of the Home. Each tile gains a drag handle, a size toggle, Move up / Move down controls, and a remove (×) control.
-
Rearrange widgets
Drag a tile by its handle to move it. The grid reflows automatically to fill any gaps.
-
Resize a widget
Use the size toggle on a tile to switch it between Small and Large.
-
Add or remove widgets
Click × on a tile to remove it. To bring widgets back, open the Add widgets library and pick from the widgets available to you — anything you don’t have permission for never appears.
-
Save your changes
Click Done to save your layout. Nothing is saved until you do — Reset returns to the role-based starting layout.
